Her best friends Preeti and Dianah grapple with emotions on their won relationships with Justin and Rezal. Their emotions take a beating when one of their school friends commits suicide because of problems with her boyfriend. Sex or no Sex? This is the question each try to answer as they discover themselves from the events that unfold.'
Teenage sexuality is something all teenagers and parents struggle to understand and come to terms with. As children mature into young adults; with hormones surging, it is absolutely normal to think about sex, and curious to try. Parents having gone through this stage, protect their teenagers from the ill effects of the experiment. This feature aims to make both teenagers and parents understand each other on the issue of teenage sexuality.
This video has raised many eyebrows and controversy. Many have questioned the title. Our answer to all concerned parents and guardians is simple. We see an increase in teenage pregnancies, sexually transmitted infections (STI), and number of live births to teenage mothers. Our teenagers need to be educated, but traditional methods do not quench their natural inquisitiveness. Our title make the teenagers want to see the video with an open mind which is conducive to maximum retention, as it is away from the traditional ‘scare’ and ‘NO’ methods. There are four segments to this video presentation. Not all need to be shown to all teenagers. The segment of contraception can be withheld and shown only to teenagers who are already in a boy girl relationship. We believe that the parents are ultimately responsible for the well being and nurturing of their children. This video is only meant as a tool to facilitate to that end. Family moral values, ethics, religious teachings, and cultural practices can be interjected throughout to make the learning experience wholesome. This video may be used many times at different stages of children’s growth. Abstinence is the message; but together with the knowledge of contraception, it is even better.
